Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Bunkers del Carmel: a full day in Barcelona mapped to where you can swap power banks along the way.

Plan a 24-Hour Barcelona Day on a Single Battery
Tour Plan

Barcelona rewards the curious. The problem is that curiosity burns through your phone battery at an extraordinary rate — maps, photos, translation apps, metro tickets, restaurant searches, the Instagram story you absolutely had to post from the top of Park Güell.

A full day in Barcelona is easily 12 to 15 kilometres on foot. If you start with a full charge at 9am, you'll be watching that battery percentage tick down by mid-afternoon, right when you need it most.

This guide maps a full day in Barcelona — from Sagrada Família to the Bunkers at sunset — and tells you exactly where you can grab or swap a Fully power bank along the way. No dead phone anxiety. Just the city.

Morning: Sagrada Família → Eixample (9:00–12:00)

Start: Sagrada Família

If you're going to Sagrada Família, book your tickets in advance and arrive early. The crowds build fast, and you'll want a clear hour inside without jostling for space. Budget 90 minutes minimum, more if you've bought access to the towers.

Expect to use your camera constantly. The interior alone — the light through the stained glass, the tree-like columns — will use up more storage than you planned.

Battery check: You've probably already taken 80 photos. Check your charge.

Recharge stop — Eixample:

After Sagrada Família, head southwest into the Eixample grid. This is one of our best-covered neighbourhoods.

  • Gelato Fest BCN — A great mid-morning treat and a Fully station waiting inside. Pick up a power bank here and you'll be covered for the next few hours.
  • La Chinata — If you want something savoury, this gourmet deli is nearby and has a station too.
  • Koi Koi (Muntaner) — If you're already thinking about lunch, the sushi here is excellent.

Pick up your power bank and keep moving.

Late Morning: Passeig de Gràcia (11:00–13:00)

The Modernista Mile

Passeig de Gràcia is Barcelona's most famous boulevard and home to three of Antoni Gaudí's most photographed buildings: Casa Batlló, Casa Milà (La Pedrera), and the less-famous but equally striking Casa Amatller.

You don't need to go inside all of them — Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are ticketed experiences worth booking in advance if you want to enter. But even from the outside, this stretch of road is one of the most photographed in Europe. Your camera roll will thank you.

Walking tip: The Block of Discord (Manzana de la Discordia) at the corner of Passeig de Gràcia and Carrer d'Aragó is worth a slow walk. Three competing Modernista buildings, side by side, each by a different architect.

Lunch: Gothic Quarter (13:00–14:30)

Head down from Eixample into the Gothic Quarter for lunch. It's a 20-minute walk or one metro stop.

Where to eat (and recharge):

  • PaTapas — Good tapas, relaxed atmosphere, Fully station inside.
  • Cake-me — If you want something lighter, this café is a great stop with coffee and something sweet.
  • Charcha — More of an afternoon/evening spot, but if you're doing a late lunch, it's here.

If you haven't already picked up a power bank in Eixample, the Gothic Quarter is your next chance. Use the app to find the nearest station.

Afternoon: El Born + Picasso Museum (14:30–17:00)

El Born

From the Gothic Quarter it's a 10-minute walk east into El Born. This neighbourhood is best explored slowly — narrow medieval streets, independent bookshops, design stores, and some of the best cocktail bars in the city (worth noting for later).

El Born's main cultural draw is the Picasso Museum on Carrer de Montcada — one of the most important collections of Picasso's early work in the world. Book ahead; it sells out.

Our stop in El Born:

  • Galeria Maxó — A gallery and concept shop. Great for a browse and a power bank swap if your current rental is running low.

Late Afternoon: Barceloneta → Bunkers del Carmel (17:00–20:00)

Option A: Beach

If you need a reset, Barceloneta beach is 15 minutes on foot from El Born. This is where phones die fastest — photos, music, navigation — so grab a power bank at Vespa Soul near the waterfront before you plant yourself on the sand.

Option B: Bunkers del Carmel (strongly recommended)

This is the real move for sunset. The Bunkers del Carmel are the ruins of an old anti-aircraft battery on a hill in the north of the city, and the 360° view from the top is genuinely one of the best in Barcelona. Better than Tibidabo. Better than the Sagrada Família towers. And free.

Getting there: take the metro to Alfons X (L4/yellow line) and walk up — about 20 minutes on foot, uphill. Or take a taxi/Uber.

Before you go up: Gràcia is right at the base of the hill and has three Fully partner venues. Top up your power bank before the climb — there's nothing at the top, and you'll be there for at least an hour.

  • Kyomi Tea — Calm, good tea, great spot to rest your feet before the climb.
  • Himalayan Restaurante — If you want a proper meal before or after.
  • Koi Koi (Gràcia) — Sushi in Gràcia, also close to the base of the hill.

The walk up is not difficult — 20 minutes from the Gràcia metro area, well-marked. Bring something to drink. Arrive 45 minutes before sunset for a good spot.

Evening: Back to El Born or Eixample (20:00–late)

Barcelona doesn't eat dinner until 9pm at the earliest, so you have time to wander back down after sunset. El Born has some of the city's best cocktail bars if you want a nightcap. Eixample has better restaurant options if you want a proper dinner.

Evening recharge:

  • By Nata on Paral·lel is a good café stop if you're heading back through the south of the city.
  • High Branch in Sant Pere if you end up in the El Born/Sant Pere area.

Return your power bank to any Fully station in the network whenever you're done.
